About the Design

Shards of broken glass, like prisms dancing in the sunlight - that is what this reminds me of.

The designs in this collection coordinate with one of the colorways in The Iris Princess collection: http://www.spoonflower.com/collections/155352. I was very pleased with the way these colors printed on the basic cotton swatches that I ordered. If you want one of these designs in another size, just ask. This is primarily a home decor design. Zigzags, arrows and color shifts create lots of energy. It may be used as an accent wall or for throw blankets, pillows and other bed linens. copyright - Mary K Wykes - May 2, 2016 Just ask if you want another size. I once had about fifteen prisms hanging from the awning on my patio. Every afternoon, when the sunlight shone through them, my whole den was a wonderland of dancing bands of light. It was amazing! Eventually those prisms disappeared. Perhaps from theft, I don't know. I always thought it was odd. But the beauty of those afternoons remains with me. Perhaps some day I will hang some up again. I love the play of light within kaleidoscopes as well This series reminds me of those images too. I see this design as delightful for curtains, a throw blanket or a duvet cover. It would provide fascinating options to a creative quilter. In a smaller scale it would be nice for a blouse or shirt. Copyright Mary Beglau Wykes 10-5-16
