My dad was a member of the Ski Patrol when I was a kid in western New York. Which meant I got put on skis at about age two -- I have photographic evidence of how I liked it (yeah, not so much!) -- and was taken up the tow rope to the top of the bunny hill at the ski area not long after. Dad skied just about every chance he got, which was pretty much every weekend, either for fun or because he was on patrol (which I think was almost as fun as just-for-fun), and he'd always wear the same "ugly" wool snowflake sweater that looked an awful lot like this one. Dad is 76 years old and still skis (and walks and/or bikes miles a day… puts us kids to shame), and I'm pretty sure he's still wearing that same sweater. So this design is, of course, for him!
