picture book from the 1800s
A murder of crows traverses a yellow-orange sky. I was inspired to make this design by a children's picture book from the 1800s. You can find the book here: https://archive.org/details/cawcaworchronicl00rmrmiala The book was actually rather cheerful, except for the part about farmers hunting them as pests, but I wanted to make something more gloomy. Many cultures see crows as messengers from beyond the grave, since they are scavengers and were frequently seen after battles. This is a happy medium of those sentiments, I think.
