While painting in oil, I appreciated the creamy white of the tulip as it compared with the snow white of the daisy. The cornflowers are a color often called Dutch blue and cornflower blue. While I painted the border with a quiet-gray background, my son Gregg helped me use Photoshop to offer other background choices: Dutch blue, eggplant, lavender, gray, and peach.
