We found the little guy, stunned in our garden, after he collided with a window. Since the temperature was freezing outside, we carefully placed him in a box and brought him into our warm house. I looked up how to care for him in the short term and made a batch of sugar water, which I fed to him carefully with a syringe. I then contacted a local animal rescue and advised I would likely bring him in, unless he recovered and was able to fly. Before I was due to set off, I heard his wings humming a couple of times; so, I attempted to release him. However, he was unable to lift off and seemed off balance.
